Sadly, I don’t get a pretty piece of paper with a coat of arms. ESG, you know, global warming and all that. But I did get a checkmark in a blue circle next to my website address on Yandex, basically saying, “verified, safe.”

They approved me. You can have me.

One condition: in the context of offering investment advisory services, only I get to send you pictures like this. I know those demons. They scatter my documents all over the internet, luring gullible people who knows where.

Now for the official press release. Well, almost.

Meine lieben Damen und Herren,

On the Fifth Day of April in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Twenty-Two, the Department for Admission and Termination of Activities of Financial Organizations of the State Bank of the Russian Empire, established by decree of Alexander II on the Thirty-First Day of May, Eighteen Hundred and Sixty, for the revival of commerce and strengthening of the monetary and credit system, did enter the individual merchant Vladimir Yuryevich Vereshchak into the Unified Register of Investment Advisers.

…for which, of course, many thanks. Calling being a financial institution supervised by the Bank of Russia a dream, with all due respect, my finger just won’t press the key, but it is a big deal after all. A new chapter.

I also sincerely thank the team at Rikom-Trust, especially Ekaterina Kolotyrkina and Igor Pershin (they know why); the team at the AMIKS SRO and Fanis Safiullin personally for their persistence and support of every kind; the B&B Legal Consulting team, namely Daria Baskakova and Ksenia Timofeeva, for all 54 pages of the new agreement that you, once you become my client, will have to sign (electronically, most likely, thanks to “Sovetnik.io,” which I’ll write about separately); and Kirill Singaevsky and Nadezhda Minaeva for trying to keep me under control – didn’t work, I do that myself.

Vladimir Vereshchak — investment advisor
